MediTaxi is a medical taxi service available to qualifying Fedhealth members in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.

If you’re a member who’s had a hospital authorisation, you can use the 24/7 MediTaxi benefit to take you to follow-up doctor’s appointments, provided you’ve undergone an authorised operation or medical treatment that prevents you from driving.

 

Booking the MediTaxi service

When you  phone to book a trip, you’ll need to provide your membership number, the date of the operation, and your healthcare provider’s details.

Cancellation

Any bookings cancelled less than 60 minutes before the agreed collection time will be billed at the full rate and deducted from your total covered incidents.

Additional terms and conditions

MediTaxi will cover a maximum distance of 50km from point of pick-up to point of drop-off. If you wish to travel further from this point and capacity allows it, you’ll be charged accordingly, and payment terms will directly be facilitated by the DSP.
